About this opportunity

This solicitation is for the procurement of a Gaven Industries OPERATIONAL CONEX (OPCON) Shielded Enclosure by the Department of the Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332439, with a small business size standard of 600 employees. The solicitation is a brand name requirement, and the Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Type purchase order for one (1) unit. The delivery must be made on or before April 30, 2025, FOB Destination to Newport, Rhode Island. The Government will evaluate quotes using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) criteria, considering past performance information and requiring proof that the items are shipped from the U.S.

There is no set-aside designation for this procurement. The original manufacturer designed the system to integrate the Government's needs, and the Gaven OPCON enclosure is a subcomponent of the previously designed system. The Government determined that any other hardware would require extensive new design, integration, environmental testing, system demonstration, and a complete technical documentation package, which is not in the Government's best interest at this time. Quotes must be submitted by June 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.
