About this opportunity
The federal agency, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, is seeking sources capable of providing six gas turbine engines with a national stock number of 2835-01-308-3769 and part number 160001-1100A. The agency is conducting market research to determine if commercial or non-developmental items are available to meet its requirements and to improve small business access to this opportunity. Interested parties should contact the contracting officer with capability statements, proposals, or quotations within 15 days. The government has determined that it is unable to acquire the required data rights to purchase these engines from additional sources, and reverse engineering is not economical.
This requirement is not expected to be set-aside for small businesses. Based on the Justification and Authority provided, the government plans to limit this procurement to one or a small number of responsible sources. No award value or budget range was specified, but the estimated delivery schedule calls for all six engines by May 19, 2026. The primary incumbent appears to be Raytheon Technologies Corporation, which holds the CAGE code referenced in the notice.
