About this opportunity
The US Forest Service published a Special Notice regarding the award of an engineering services contract on a sole source basis to PND Engineering, Inc. The contract is for architectural, engineering, and technical design services relating to the reconstruction of the GAOA Anan Wildlife Observatory Phase 2 construction project on the Tongass National Forest in Alaska.
The Special Notice invites capable sources to submit information within 10 days of publication if they believe they can provide the necessary engineering services. However, no competition is anticipated as PND Engineering previously provided structural engineering drawings and specifications as a subconsultant for the project and is the engineer of record. The Alaska Administrative Code requires site adaptations and alterations of sealed engineering documents to be performed by the original engineer unless a burdensome approval process is followed. Respondents must provide company information and capabilities statements demonstrating their ability to fulfill requirements.
