About this opportunity

NASA's Shared Services Center seeks procurement of one LaserRef II Inertial Navigation Unit (INU), part number HG1075AE04, manufactured by Honeywell, with quotes due June 9, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Central Time. This is a total small business set-aside.

Place of performance is Edwards Air Force Base, California, with delivery required to NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, Building 4876 Warehouse #6, Lilly Drive, Edwards, CA 93524 by June 8, 2026. The unit serves as a spare component for the G-IV aircraft assigned to the Airborne Science Program and will provide critical flight path data including position, attitude, and heading information as a primary navigation source.

All responding vendors must state capability to comply with SAE AS9100 quality standards and Q-1A compliance requirements. The unit must be accompanied by an FAA 8130 certificate. Q-1A compliance is mandatory and establishes rigorous quality standards for aircraft parts, including verification of manufacturer's part numbers, heat/batch/serial numbers, manufacturer identification, proof of serviceability, FAA Parts Manufacturing Approval or Technical Standard Order authorization, FAA Airworthiness Directive and manufacturer Service Bulletin implementation status, and identification of all components with shelf lives and expiration dates. Prime suppliers must ensure competent personnel handle the part, maintain quality management systems (AS9100, AS9120, ISO 9001, AS5553, or AS6081), and retain all material test reports and certifications for at least ten years.

Delivery dates are flexible with no expedited or overnight shipping required. Award will be made to the lowest-price, technically acceptable offer from a responsible offeror. Offerors must be registered in SAM.gov and submit two points of contact and Cage Code/UEI number with quotes. Quotes must remain valid for 30 days and confirm FOB Destination delivery with NET 30 payment terms. Technical and contractual questions are due by June 5, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Central Time.
