About this opportunity

NASA's National Shared Services Center (NSSC) is seeking to procure a one-year renewal of the CASSIE Full Mission Telemetry License maintenance from Astrofrontiers, Inc. for NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). The procurement is being conducted as a sole source contract under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), specifically to extend support for the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites - R Series (GOES-R) license. Interested organizations can submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing to dorothy.s.baskin@nasa.gov by 11:59 a.m. Central Standard Time on April 21, 2025. The government will evaluate submitted capabilities solely to determine whether to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis, with the final competition decision remaining at the government's discretion. Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice, and NASA Clause 1852.215-84 regarding the Ombudsman is applicable to this acquisition.

The contract opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside and falls under NAICS Code 541519 for Other Computer Related Services. Astrofrontiers, Inc. is the incumbent and proposed sole source vendor for this contract. The electronic delivery will cover two CASSIE Full Mission Telemetry License maintenance renewals, with a one-year performance period commencing after receipt of order. The procurement will support NASA's satellite telemetry retrieval, manipulation, and analysis capabilities, with the current license set to expire on June 3, 2025. The contract will be executed using the provisions, clauses, and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, focusing on commercial items and services. While specific award value details are not explicitly stated, the scope suggests a targeted, specialized software license renewal for critical NASA satellite operations.
