About this opportunity
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a non-competitive order under Basic Ordering Agreement N0002422G5311 to Raytheon Missiles and Defense for AEGIS Modernization requirements. The procurement focuses on equipment changes for the AEGIS Fire Control System (FCS) MK99, including Solid State Switch Assembly Modernization Kits, Kill Assessment System Dry Air ORDALT Kits, Data Converter Cabinets, and related interface and spare parts. NAVSEA will use 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) procurement authority, citing Raytheon as the only qualified source with the necessary technical expertise for the system. The contract will satisfy both United States Navy and Foreign Military Sales requirements. Interested parties have fifteen days from the February 6, 2025 posting date to express interest, though this is not a competitive solicitation.
The procurement is not set aside for any specific business category and will be awarded to Raytheon based on their unique capabilities. The contract covers modernization components for the MK99 Fire Control System, including specific kits for the AN/SPY-1 radar systems and components for Australia's Hobart class ships. While specific award values are not disclosed, the procurement appears comprehensive and spans multiple system upgrade elements. The contract timeline is aligned with fiscal years 2025-2026, with an initial response deadline of February 21, 2025. The procurement falls under NAICS category 334511 for Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing, and PSC category 1260 for Fire Control Designating and Indicating Equipment.
