About this opportunity
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Precision Strike Weapons Program Office (PMA-201), is seeking to procure additional quantities for Defective Seeker Repairs and Defective Sustainer Section Repairs related to the Harpoon/SLAM-ER Weapon System. This procurement will be executed as a modification under the existing Basic Ordering Agreement N0001921G0006 and Delivery Order N0001923F0412. The Government intends to award this contract on a sole source basis under FAR 6.302-1, which permits negotiation with only one source when it is the only responsible source capable of meeting agency requirements. Contract award is anticipated for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, with a deadline of March 31, 2026 for interested parties to submit capability statements or proposals. Interested small businesses should contact Chasity Strickland at The Boeing Company (Chasity.L.Strickland@boeing.com) regarding subcontracting opportunities, while capability statements should also be copied to NAVAIR at Elizabeth Lawlin (elizabeth.y.lawlin.civ@us.navy.mil).
This procurement carries no small business set-aside designation. The Boeing Company, located at 6200 James S McDonnell Boulevard, St. Louis, Missouri, is identified as the sole incumbent and the only capable contractor for this work, as it is the exclusive designer, developer, manufacturer, integrator, and owner of technical data for the Harpoon/SLAM-ER Weapon System. The Boeing Company possesses the requisite technical expertise, specialized knowledge, facilities, and proprietary technical data necessary to perform the defective seeker and sustainer section repairs. While specific contract values and repair quantities are not disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the modification is expected to provide additional repair capacity for existing weapon systems. This acquisition represents a continuation of ongoing support for the Harpoon/SLAM-ER platform through an established contractual relationship rather than a new competitive procurement.
