Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to issue a sole source solicitation for an FY16 contract, with no option years, for TRIDENT Portable Impact Location System (PILS) engineering services in support of the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program.
The Contractor shall provide engineering services and support to investigate and
deliver reports and technical solutions on PILS architecture changes that support life
cycle cost reduction. The topics are to include:
1) PILS buoy reliability
2) PILS buoy energy management, and
3) PILS end-to-end built-in-self-test.
The work will consist of level of effort (LOE) tasks. The period of performance for the contract will be 1 October 2015 through 30 September 2016.
