About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Mobile is seeking a contractor to perform dredging services for Mobile District Navigation Projects through a Firm Fixed Price "C" type contract. The solicitation, set to be available for download around February 24, 2025, will require contractors and their subcontractors to be registered in SAM.gov prior to accessing bidding documents. All solicitation materials will be exclusively available through the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) website, with no telephonic, mailed, or fax requests accepted. Contractors must use Adobe Acrobat Reader to access the .pdf format solicitation and submit all bid forms and bonds electronically. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990, with a size standard of $37 million, and a subcontracting plan will be required.

The opportunity is advertised on an unrestricted basis, with no specific set-aside designation, and a small business is defined as having average annual receipts less than $37,000,000 over the past three years. While a specific award value is not mentioned, the size standard suggests potential contract values up to $37 million. The project will be centered at the Irvington Site Office in Alabama, with key personnel including Contract Officer Representative Stephen H. Reid and Project Manager Jake Lambert. Critical path method documentation is not required for this solicitation, and while no bid options are currently anticipated, the government reserves the right to add optional bid items if deemed in its best interest. Contractors will need to monitor the PIEE website daily for any solicitation updates, changes, or amendments, and use the ProjNet internet-based system for submitting requests for information during the advertisement period.
