About this opportunity

The Department of Defense's Program Executive Office Unmanned and Small Combatants (PEO USC) will host an Industry Day on June 17, 2025, focused on the Future Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) program. This special notice outlines an upcoming event designed to provide industry insights into a new autonomous maritime vessel initiative. The proposed USV is envisioned as an open ocean vessel capable of traveling over 25 knots with high endurance, constructed to commercial standards. The vessel will be designed to support two forty-foot equivalent unit containerized payloads, each weighing 80,000 pounds. The event will be held in the Washington D.C. metro area and is classified as an UNCLASSIFIED - For Official Use Only level gathering.

Contractors interested in participating must register by June 6, 2025, at 1700 ET, with strict attendance limitations and eligibility requirements. Only U.S. Department of Defense contractors are permitted to attend, with a maximum of two representatives per company allowed. The Industry Day will consist of two parts: a full-day government presentation on June 17 from 0830-1600 ET, followed by optional individual engagement sessions on June 18. No recording devices, handout materials, or walk-ins will be permitted, and registration is mandatory. The primary objectives include improving industry understanding of the Future USV program, soliciting feedback to accelerate development and procurement, and providing comprehensive information about the program's vision, schedule, and technical requirements. PMS 406 intends to issue a Request for Information (RFI) ahead of the event, with future solicitations to be announced on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.
