The Scope of Work (SOW) for the SATOC includes the removal of radioactively contaminated soil and ancillary groundwater from Areas of Concern (AOCs) at the Chambers Works property in accordance with the Record of Decision (ROD) (USACE, 2013) and Explanation of Significant Differences (USACE, 2024). Remediation services may also include other identified contaminated areas at the DuPont Site as a result of ongoing investigation work. The Contractor shall be responsible for fully executing this work by conducting required environmental remediation services; addressing any and all environmental, scheduling, and regulatory issues; and, assuming contractual liability and responsibility for the achievement of the performance objectives for the regulatory closure effort at the project site, which is the Former DuPont Chambers Works site, now owned and operated by Chemours. The Contractor shall be responsible for all excavation costs necessary to remediate FUSRAP contamination at the site. The Contractor will not be responsible for removal of other potential Hazardous, Toxic and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) contaminants unless they are mixed with FUSRAP contaminants.
