About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in Vilnius is seeking qualified vendors to provide furniture rental services for residential properties, including leased apartments, townhouses, and standalone homes with two to three bedrooms. The Department of State is conducting this pre-solicitation research to identify capable suppliers before issuing a formal solicitation. Required furnishings encompass living room items such as dining tables, china cabinets, bookshelves, and seating; kitchen furniture including tables and chairs; bedroom pieces such as beds, nightstands, dressers, and wardrobes; office equipment comprising desks and chairs; and miscellaneous items like area rugs and lamps. Interested vendors should submit company information to the contact addresses provided by the specified deadline. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on November 24, 2025, with a due date for vendor responses of December 31, 2025, allowing potential bidders approximately five weeks to prepare and submit their information.
This opportunity carries no set-aside designation and represents the initial stage of the procurement process, as no incumbent contractor or current award value information is specified in the pre-solicitation notice. The contract will be classified under NAICS code 4232 (Furniture and Home Furnishing Merchant Wholesalers) and PSC code W071 (Lease or Rental of Equipment—Furniture), indicating the primary focus on rental rather than purchase of furnishings. The notice does not specify a particular quantity of units to be furnished, budget range, or service timeline, suggesting that these details will be determined during the formal solicitation phase based on responses received during this research period. Vendors meeting the capability requirements are encouraged to register their interest early to ensure consideration in the upcoming competitive procurement process.
