About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Norfolk anticipated soliciting construction of a Confidence Obstacle Course and sheltered bleacher area at Fort Lee under total small business set-aside; however, this procurement has been deferred as of October 8, 2026, with no estimated re-solicitation date.

The project scope includes twenty-four obstacle stations with directional and obstacle signage, a 10-foot maneuver trail between obstacles to support training and emergency vehicle movement with single-side bypass capability, and a sheltered bleacher area with lightning protection. A Tactical Assembly Area of approximately half an acre will be cleared in the center of the course, with an entrance trail constructed from TA-27. Gravel and fill dirt will be added to provide drainage and create level surfaces across cleared areas. Facilities will be designed to a minimum 40-year service life per DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 1-200-02), incorporating energy efficiencies, building envelope performance, and integrated building systems.

Place of performance is Fort Lee. The work is classified under NAICS 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) and PSC Y1PZ (Construction of Other Non-Building Facilities). No award value, timeline, or contract duration was disclosed in the notice.
