About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy London is seeking freight forwarding services through multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) with terms of five years or until maximum spending thresholds are met. The Department of State requires vendors to handle shipments to and from the UK. Interested parties must review the Statement of Work and supporting documents for qualification details and submit proposals to LondonProc@state.gov by March 27, 2024. Proposals will be evaluated based on the criteria in the Statement of Work.
There is no set-aside designation for this requirement. The place of performance will be London, UK. Vendors must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database if their award exceeds $30,000 USD. While the BPAs do not guarantee any minimum purchase amounts, they may be awarded to multiple vendors for shipment support over the five-year agreement period. Interested parties should review the registration, procurement, and scope of work files provided for additional program and eligibility information.
Notice text
The U.S. Embassy London has a requirement for freight forwarding services and intends to award Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) to one or more responsible vendors. A BPA is similar to a credit account established with vendors under which numerous orders may be issued. It establishes no contractual obligation until an order is issued and a delivery is made. BPAs will be in effect for a period of five years upon award or until the determined maximum amount has been spent, whichever occurs first. Please note that the award of a BPA does not guarantee any quantity of business and that the Government may choose to award BPAs to more than one vendor and rotate business.
U.S. Government Contractors receiving an award valued at $30,000 USD or greater must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database www.sam.gov prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. The website compiles standard information such as company legal name, street address, contact information, and the kinds of goods and services
offered. There is no cost involved, neither in obtaining the NCAGE code nor to register in SAM. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.
Interested vendors should refer to the attached Statement of Work and supporting documentation and contact the London Procurement Team at the following email address: LondonProc@state.gov. Please use the subject line “19UK5624A0006 - Freight Forwarding Service".
