About this opportunity
The National Park Service (NPS), specifically the Midwest Region's Contracting Operations Central Office, is seeking masonry contractors for a restoration project at Fort Scott National Historic Site in Bourbon County, Kansas. The project involves re-pointing exterior exposed brick chimneys and performing additional masonry work on multiple buildings across the site. Interested vendors must have a Unique Entity ID, be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), and have completed Online Representations and Certifications to be eligible. The market survey requires vendors to submit responses via email to colette_riegelmayer@nps.gov by 12:00 PM Eastern Time on April 29, 2025, using reference number 140P6425B0011 in the subject line. The contract is classified under NAICS code 238140 for Masonry Contractors, with a small business size standard of $19.0M, potentially enabling small business participation. The anticipated contract value ranges between $100,000 and $250,000, with a firm-fixed price structure planned for solicitation in mid/late May 2025 and anticipated award in mid-July 2025. Construction Wage Rate Requirements specific to Bourbon County, Kansas, will apply to the project, and bonding requirements are expected. The project timeline suggests a relatively quick turnaround from market survey to potential contract award, with the NPS seeking qualified contractors to complete comprehensive masonry restoration work at the historic site. No specific set-aside designation has been predetermined, with the final classification to be determined based on market survey responses.
