About this opportunity
The New Hampshire Air National Guard, under the Department of the Army, is conducting a sources sought market survey for a lead acid motive power forklift battery to support its operations. The procurement falls under NAICS 335910 (Battery Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 750 employees, and the primary product specifications include an 80-volt battery with a minimum 500 amp-hour capacity, dimensions not exceeding 40 inches by 27.5 inches by 30.5 inches, an SB-style 320 amp connector, and a single-point watering system with a compatible watering gun. Interested offerors should submit responses by April 20, 2026, including company name, address, points of contact, and business size classification. The government will use the information gathered from this sources sought notice to determine the appropriate procurement methodology and may subsequently publish a formal solicitation announcement on SAM.gov.
This procurement opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to small business entities as defined by the Small Business Administration. The notice requests that interested parties indicate their business size status and representations, including designations such as Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), HUBZone status, or Woman Owned Small Business status, where applicable. The specific requirement involves a single unit (quantity of 1) of a lead acid motive power battery designated as CLIN 001, though no explicit budget range or award value is disclosed in this sources sought notice. No incumbent contractors or current contract values are mentioned, as this is a market research phase designed to assess available suppliers before formal procurement activities commence. The relatively short timeframe between the posting date of April 9, 2026, and the response deadline of April 20, 2026, provides interested small business vendors with a brief window to express their capability and interest in this requirement.
