About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for the FUSIONS II Support contract at the 616 Operations Center located at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. The procurement seeks industry feedback on capabilities for providing Information Warfare Support, Datalink Support, Joint Interface Control Officer Support, and IT Software/Programming Support services. The government requires a facility clearance level of TS/SCI and anticipates work being performed primarily at JBSA-Lackland, with potential additional locations including Langley AFB, Nellis AFB, and several other military installations. The RFI is specifically designed to gather market research insights, with responses requested to be submitted to Conner Nichols via email by January 6, 2025. The government is particularly interested in understanding why potential contractors may not have responded to the original RFI, seeking detailed feedback on perceived risks, organizational limitations, and needed clarifications.
The contract opportunity has no specific set-aside designation, and small businesses and joint ventures are explicitly encouraged to participate. The estimated contract ceiling is approximately $500 million, structured for a five-year period. While the RFI emphasizes that this is a market research exercise and not a solicitation, it represents a significant opportunity for contractors in the information technology and military support services sectors. The geographic scope of potential work spans multiple U.S. and international military locations, indicating a complex and potentially high-value procurement effort. The government's approach of soliciting detailed feedback suggests a comprehensive market analysis to refine the eventual solicitation's requirements and maximize competitive responses.
