About this opportunity

The Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Marketing and Regulatory Programs Business Services, has awarded a sole-source contract to DayGlo Color Corporation for 3,300 pounds (60 bags of 55 pounds each) of ECO18-BG55 Signal Green Pigment on August 3, 2026, under FAR 12.102(a).

DayGlo pigment is the only pigment tested and approved for New World Screwworm larvae dye applications by the COPEG methods and development laboratory. It is the only dye currently approved by Plant Protection and Quarantine Science and Technology for use in sterile fly production, having undergone extensive testing for effects on fly development, lifespan, and post-capture identification characteristics.
