About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA, APHIS) has issued a Special Notice regarding its intent to lease existing hangar space in Riverton, Wyoming. The notice specifically addresses the potential flood risks associated with the proposed location, which is situated in an area susceptible to flooding at or above the 100-year flood level. As mandated by President's Executive Order 11988 on "Floodplain Management," USDA is required to review the project for alternative solutions. After careful consideration, the agency determined that no practical alternatives exist, as the entire area of consideration is located within an "Area of Undetermined Flood Hazard". The notice serves as a public notification and solicitation of comments regarding the potential lease.

The primary objective of this Special Notice is to invite public comments on possible alternatives to the proposed hangar lease while providing transparency about the location's flood risks. Interested parties can obtain detailed information about the project by contacting Grace Connolly, a Realty Specialist at USDA, APHIS, located at 250 Marquette Ave, Suite 410, Minneapolis, MN 55401, or by calling 612-336-3259 during business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday). Written comments regarding the project must be submitted to Grace Connolly within fifteen (15) days of the notice's publication date. The opportunity is categorized under NAICS code 531120 for Lessors of Nonresidential Buildings and PSC code X1BZ for Lease/Rental of Other Airfield Structures. There are no specific set-asides for this opportunity, and the notice does not indicate any restrictive eligibility criteria for potential contractors or lessors.
