About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps is procuring diesel-powered flood light towers through a firm fixed price contract. The specification requires portable lighting systems featuring diesel generators with 6KW capacity, four fully adjustable 480-watt LED floodlights mounted on telescoping masts that extend to 30 feet and rotate 360 degrees via dual hand-operated winches. Each unit must include a minimum 30-gallon fuel tank with consumption not exceeding 0.4 gallons per hour, four 120V AC duplex GFCI outlets, a 12V Group 24 starting battery, and automatic engine shutdown capabilities. The towers must be trailer-mounted with leaf spring axles, powder-coated gull wing doors, hinged top access panels, and combination 2.5-inch pintle hook and 2-inch ball hitch for towing. The solicitation was posted on August 29, 2025, with responses due by September 8, 2025, providing vendors with a 10-day response window.
This procurement is designated as a HUBZone sole source set-aside, restricting competition to qualified small businesses located in Historically Underutilized Business Zones. The contract will be performed in Beaufort, South Carolina, indicating either delivery to or operation at Marine Corps facilities in that location. While specific quantities and contract values are not disclosed in the available documentation, the requirement falls under NAICS code 335312 for Motor and Generator Manufacturing and PSC code 2330 for Trailers, reflecting the dual nature of the power generation and mobile platform components. The procurement includes delivery requirements with DD Form 250 documentation along with operator, parts, and service manuals to support ongoing operations and maintenance. The solicitation references two government files containing detailed specifications and requirements for potential contractors.
