About this opportunity

The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Force Logistics Center is procuring a custom two-tier aluminum floating maintenance dock with scaffolding system for the USCGC EAGLE through solicitation number 18301QR250000466. The floating dock must measure 16' x 20' and feature heavy-duty construction with corrosion-resistant materials suitable for saltwater environments, PVC decking, stainless steel hardware, and an integrated scaffolding system with built-in ladders and harness rod. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed price basis using simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 13, with contractors required to be registered in SAM.gov and provide warranty information. The government will evaluate proposals based on the most advantageous quote considering price and other factors. The original delivery deadline of October 31, 2025 has been extended to November 15, 2025 due to initial contractor concerns about meeting the timeline, with the proposal submission deadline extended to September 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time.

This procurement is designated as a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 336611 (Ship Building and Repairing), allowing all responsible small business sources to submit proposals. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are mentioned in the solicitation documents. While no specific contract value or budget range is disclosed, contractors must include all shipping fees in their total pricing proposals. The floating dock system represents a single unit procurement designed to provide maintenance access capabilities for the Coast Guard cutter. Performance will take place with delivery to the USCGC EAGLE located at 15 Mohegan Avenue, New London, Connecticut 06320, where the specialized floating dock will support vessel maintenance operations in a saltwater marine environment.
