About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is soliciting procurement of 150 units of flexible air ducts, specifically 8-1/2" ID x 25' length black, 2-ply polyester/neoprene coated flexible ducts with spring steel wire helix construction. The ducts must be fire-resistant and manufactured by FlexHaust or Hi-Tech DuraVent, with required stenciling or ink-printing stating "FIRE RESISTANT PROPERTY OF US NAVY" in white characters. Contractors must comply with NIST SP 800-171 cybersecurity requirements unless the items qualify as Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS), and must have a current assessment not more than 3 years old as detailed in DFARS 252.204-7019. Electronic submission of quotes is available through SAM.gov, but responsive bids require a signed and completed solicitation submitted via email or fax. The solicitation was issued on June 11, 2025, with offers due by 10:00 AM on June 13, 2025.
This procurement is designated as a set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses under the small business program. The contract will support operations at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, with delivery required to the Receiving Officer in Bremerton, Washington 98314. The procurement requires compliance with electronic invoicing through Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and adherence to specific packaging and delivery instructions for the naval facility. The ducts must be palletized for delivery and meet fire-resistant specifications for maritime defense applications. No specific contract value is disclosed in the solicitation documentation, and the rapid turnaround timeline indicates an urgent operational requirement with only two days between solicitation posting and proposal submission deadline.
