About this opportunity

The FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) is seeking information on flat panel detector technology by May 21, 2026 to inform future procurement planning. This is a Request for Information (RFI) in pre-solicitation phase; no binding commitments or awards result from responses, and the FDA may or may not issue a subsequent formal solicitation based on findings. The procurement carries no set-aside.

Respondents should provide detailed information on flat panel detector products, including technical capabilities, performance specifications, detector configurations, resolution capabilities, image quality characteristics, cost estimates, delivery timelines, regulatory certifications or approvals, and company qualifications. The RFI is intended to better understand market capabilities and commercial availability of flat panel detectors that could support FDA operational needs. Information gathered will inform the FDA's requirements development and facilitate a more efficient competitive procurement process. The FDA reserves the right to use any information provided for future procurement planning purposes. Work relates to electromedical and electrotherapeutic apparatus (NAICS 334510; PSC 6525).
