About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a Fixed Light Assembly (NSN 3H-9999-LLCYC4162) with a Technical Data Package (TDP) Version 001. The procurement is for a single unit to be delivered FOB Origin, with the government acknowledging that they do not own the data rights for this part and find it uneconomical to purchase those rights or reverse engineer the component. All interested firms are required to include their CAGE Code when submitting solicitation requests, and companies can express interest through the NAVSUP Business Opportunities web portal. The government will evaluate proposals based on their capability to satisfy the requirement, with the discretion to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
There are no specific set-aside designations for this contract opportunity, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned in the notice. The procurement does not follow FAR Part 12 policies for commercial items, though interested parties may identify commercial item capabilities within 15 days of the notice. Potential vendors not currently approved as sources can submit a Vendor Interest Form, though the award process will not be delayed for obtaining new vendor approvals. The pre-solicitation was posted on April 19, 2025, with responses due by May 20, 2025.
