About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is procuring firewall routers through this Foreign Military Sales (FMS) solicitation posted on September 3, 2025, with proposals due by October 3, 2025. The procurement requires newly manufactured spares only, explicitly excluding used, refurbished, remanufactured, or repaired materials. The solicitation includes standard federal acquisition requirements such as Buy American provisions, equal opportunity clauses, transportation by sea requirements, and various quality control measures. Offers will only be accepted from government-approved sources of supply, and any distributors must submit authorized distributor letters from approved sources. The procurement falls under NAICS code 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing and PSC code 1680 for Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components.
This solicitation does not utilize any small business set-aside designations and is open to all qualified contractors who meet the government-approved source requirements. No specific incumbent contractors are identified in the available documentation. The solicitation does not specify award values, quantities, or detailed performance timelines beyond the standard 30-day response period. The government acknowledges it does not possess sufficient accurate data to purchase these components from sources other than currently approved suppliers, indicating a sole-source or limited-source procurement environment. Given the FMS nature of the contract, performance will likely involve coordination with international delivery requirements and compliance with export control regulations.
