About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive fire truck and apparatus inspection and maintenance services for U.S. Forces Korea Army Garrisons, including locations such as Camp Casey, Camp Humphreys, Daegu Enclave, Camp Henry, Camp Walker, Camp Carroll, Yongsan, and Busan Storage Center. The contract requires strict compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards 1910, 1911, and 1071, with certification testing to be conducted by an accredited ISO/IEC 17020 third-party company. Technicians performing preventive maintenance and repairs must be Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certified at appropriate levels, with aerial apparatus maintenance specifically requiring EVT Level 2 or higher certification or manufacturer-certified technicians under EVT3 supervision. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on May 19, 2025, with responses due by June 2, 2025, indicating a relatively short response window for potential contractors. Evaluation will likely focus on technical expertise, certification credentials, and ability to meet stringent fire apparatus maintenance standards.
The solicitation does not specify a specific set-aside category, suggesting the opportunity is open to a broad range of qualified contractors. No incumbent contractor is mentioned in the pre-solicitation notice, and specific budget or award value details are not provided. The service will cover multiple U.S. military installations in Korea, implying a potentially significant scope of work across different garrison locations. Contractors will need to demonstrate compliance with both U.S. (NFPA) and Korean (KFA 27 and KFA 33) fire safety and vehicle maintenance standards. The contract appears to require comprehensive service capabilities, including operational testing, inspections, preventive maintenance, and potential repair services for fire trucks and related apparatus across multiple military installations.
