About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime (DLA Land - Warren) is conducting a sources-sought market research effort for final drive vehicular components, specifically focusing on two National Stock Number (NSN) identified parts. The agency seeks to gather information from potential vendors about their capabilities to supply these critical vehicle power transmission components. Interested companies must submit comprehensive responses by April 15, 2025, including detailed information such as DUNS number, CAGE code, point of contact, business size status, manufacturing expertise, delivery capabilities, and performance location. The market research targets vendors in the Motor Vehicle Transmission and Power Train Parts Manufacturing sector (NAICS 336350), with a preference for companies that can demonstrate relevant contract experience from the past three years. While this is a preliminary market research phase, the government is exploring the potential for a future Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.

The sources-sought notice indicates a potential contract with quantities ranging from 6-9 units minimum to 160-249 units maximum, with source control currently restricted to two specific manufacturers: Intermec Technologies Corp (CAGE 33825) and LOC Performance Products Inc (CAGE 1V513). No specific set-aside designation has been applied to this opportunity, suggesting it will be open to a broad range of qualified vendors. The procurement is focused on the PSC category 2520 - Vehicular Power Transmission Components, with the government emphasizing the need for detailed vendor capabilities and manufacturing proficiency. It is important to note that this is a market research effort only, and the government is not committed to issuing a solicitation or awarding a contract based on the responses received. The potential contract duration is estimated at five years, providing a significant opportunity for qualified vendors in the vehicular parts manufacturing sector.
