The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is conducting market research to determine the availability of GSA Schedule holders capable of fulfilling the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) at the Research Triangle Park, NC campus' need for filtered Water Coolers.


NIH has a requirement for a contractor to provide for lease, installation, maintenance, inspection and repair 21 individual Point-of-Use Water Filtration Units, drinking cups, and filter maintenance for Point-of­ Use Non-Bottled Filtration Systems to combat the unpleasant taste while filtering out harmful impurities and contaminants such as lead, dirt, chlorine taste and odor. Additional units may be added or deleted as the need is determined.


The North American industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561210 and the business size standard is $38.5 million dollars.


Any small business prime contractor will be required to meet the requirements of FAR Clause 52.219-14, Limitations on Sub-contracting, in that "at least 50 percent of the cost of contract performance incurred for personnel shall be expended for employees of the concern." For any responses from small businesses, the Capability Statement provided should demonstrate how you plan to meet this requirement. If this is not specifically addressed, the Government may determine that the firm was not capable of meeting this requirement in their determination as to whether to set aside the requirement for small business.


POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE:


The contractor must include in their Capability Statement: (1) the company name, address, phone number/e-mail address for POC at the company, certification of business size, and GSA Contract Number; (2) staff expertise and experience along with their availability to perform the types of work identified above, particularly associated with capabilities of maintaining the specific elevator systems identified above; (3) current in-house capability and capacity to perform the requirements of FAR 52.219-14 (if a small business contractor); (4) prior completed projects of similar nature; and (3) examples of prior completed Government contracts, references, and other related information. The Capability Statement is limited to 10 pages in size. Interested companies capable of furnishing the Government with the services specified in this Sources Sought notice should submit their Capability Statement to the e-mail address below. Capability Statements are due 01/19/2017 at 5:00 PM Eastern Time (ET). The Capability Statement must reference Sources Sought Number NIHOF201800025. All capable GSA Schedule holders may submit a Capability Statement. Those Capability Statements received by the date and time identified above will be considered by the agency. Capability Statements must be submitted via e-mail only to joshua.blow@nih.gov. Faxed or postal mailed copies will not be accepted.
