About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure repair services for six radio frequency filter units, specifically NSN 7HH 5915 014843499, with a part number of 23939 A-7690A or 23939 7353678-101. The solicitation is currently in a pre-solicitation stage, with the government intending to negotiate a sole-source contract with CAPTOR CORP located in Tipp City, Ohio. The government has determined that obtaining data rights or reverse engineering the part would be uneconomical, which drives the sole-source approach. Interested parties may submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of the publication date (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The government will evaluate submissions to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement, though the final decision remains at their discretion.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this contract opportunity. The proposed contract will be a firm-fixed price or not-to-exceed contract for repairing 12 filter units, with delivery specified as FOB origin. The total quantity of units is relatively small, suggesting a focused, specialized repair requirement. The solicitation was posted on February 27, 2025, with responses due by April 14, 2025. Potential contractors can obtain additional details and specifications through the Naval Electronic Contract Opportunities website (www.neco.navy.mil) or by contacting the Department of Defense Single Stock Point for documentation. Interested parties without internet access can reach the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk at specified phone numbers to request additional information.
