About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure filter elements for aircraft engines, specifically categorized under Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing (NAICS 336412). The solicitation is a pre-solicitation notice for a contract identified by solicitation number SPRTA1-25-Q-0348, which will be made available for review on the SAM.gov website. This procurement is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, which allows for a streamlined acquisition process. Potential offerors are encouraged to submit their offers electronically via email, with the complete solicitation package accessible through the Government Point of Entry (GPE). The agency has waived the standard synopsis requirements based on the acquisition's small scale and the electronic submission capabilities.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, meaning the opportunity appears to be open to all qualified vendors. While the exact award value is not specified, the contract is structured to remain below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, which typically suggests a relatively modest procurement budget. The solicitation is focused on acquiring fluid filter elements, specifically for aircraft engine air and oil filtration systems, as indicated by the Product Service Code (PSC) 2945. The posted and due date for this opportunity is May 14, 2025, signaling a relatively compact timeline for potential vendors to prepare and submit their proposals. Given the specialized nature of aircraft engine components, vendors will likely need to demonstrate specific manufacturing capabilities and quality standards in their responses.
