About this opportunity

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), New Mexico State Office, issued a sources sought notice to conduct market research for law enforcement services in San Juan County, with the applicable NAICS code 922120 (Police Protection). The agency sought to identify parties with interest and resources to support this law enforcement requirement, with responses originally due by July 24, 2025. Companies were required to provide basic information including company name, address, Unique Entity ID, point of contact details, socio-economic status, and a capability statement describing how they could deliver the required services. The government specifically requested information about any anticipated subcontracting or teaming arrangements and their administrative management structure. However, the notice has been subsequently amended to cancel the sources sought notice entirely, eliminating the original submission deadline.

This procurement opportunity was designated with no set-aside restrictions initially, though the government indicated that based on market research responses, the requirement could potentially be set aside for small businesses or proceed through full and open competition. No incumbent contractors or current service providers were identified in the notice, and no specific contract values, budget ranges, or award amounts were disclosed. The government did not provide any quantitative details regarding the scope of law enforcement services needed or the anticipated timeline for service delivery. Since the sources sought notice has been cancelled, no further submissions will be accepted, and the government stated it would not provide feedback or evaluations to any companies regarding their responses to the original notice.
