About this opportunity

The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking a contractor to perform faunal analysis on approximately 3500 bone objects from the museum collection at Pu‘uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park in Hawaii. The contractor will identify the bone objects to the lowest taxonomic classification possible, examine them for secondary uses and cultural modifications, weigh them, re-house them in park-supplied bags and containers, and enter the data into a park-supplied database. The contract period is from September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024, with the final report due by August 31, 2024.
