About this opportunity
The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) is hosting a virtual Proposer Workshop on August 24, 2026, in support of the Fast Assessment of Solutions, Therapeutics, Pharmaceuticals, and SupplieS (FASTPASS) program, with registration open from July 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET through August 20, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET via solutions.arpa-h.gov/events.
FASTPASS develops technologies to prevent contaminated or substandard medications from reaching patients through rapid, non-contact drug quality and safety testing at points of entry and across the supply chain. The program addresses pharmaceutical supply chain oversight as the United States increasingly depends on global sources for active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished drug products.
ARPA-H will solicit proposals in two Technical Areas. TA1 SAMPLE targets advanced through-packaging sensing technologies using non-destructive means including nuclear magnetic resonance, Raman spectroscopy, terahertz spectroscopy, x-ray fluorescence, and hyperspectral approaches to evaluate chemical composition without opening packaging. TA2 DETECT focuses on analytics, signal processing, deep learning models, and multimodal data fusion to process spectroscopic data and classify samples with increased specificity and reduced noise.
The workshop includes presentations from the Program Manager, discussions of the Independent Verification and Validation process, and live Q&A. ARPA-H anticipates releasing the FASTPASS Innovative Solution Openings (ISO) in August 2026 on sam.gov. Interested parties may submit teaming profiles via the FASTPASS Teaming Profile Form at https://solutions.arpa-h.gov/teaming/fastpass prior to the workshop. Contact CAPT James Coburn, Portfolio Lead, ARPA-H/SSO, at FASTPASS@arpa-h.gov.
