About this opportunity

Naval Air Systems Command (PMA-265) intends to issue a firm fixed price competitive solicitation for non-recurring engineering to design, develop, fabricate, and deliver conformal anodes for F/A-18E/F and EA-18G nose landing gear and main landing gear, with a response deadline of September 25, 2026. The work supports transition from legacy cadmium plating to Low Hydrogen Embrittlement zinc/nickel plating.

Under the effort, the contractor will design and fabricate conformal anodes and associated technical drawings and anode cases; perform first article inspection in conjunction with the existing landing gear overhaul line; conduct current density analysis to confirm adequate thickness and uniformity of zinc/nickel plating; and update the Technical Data Package to support the transition. No set-aside applies. This notice is for informational purposes only; the Government is not currently seeking proposals and will not reimburse review or response costs. A formal solicitation will be released at SAM.gov at a future date.
