The solicitation (N6852025R0028) is a competitive Request for Quote (RFQ) issued under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13, with two Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs): CLIN 0001 for inspection and evaluation at a firm fixed price, and CLIN 0002 as an optional repair CLIN with a not-to-exceed amount of $78,400. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and will be evaluated based on lowest evaluated price, technical capability, and an acceptable Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) rating. The solicitation requires submission of a comprehensive quote via email to Melinda Lacek by May 20, 2025, including specific vendor information such as FOB terms, shipping costs, Tax ID, and CAGE Code. Award determination will be solely at the government's discretion, with a focus on meeting the Statement of Work requirements.

The procurement is a total small business set-aside under FAR Part 52.219-6, targeting vendors in the Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance (NAICS 811210) category. The place of performance is located in Solomons, Maryland, with an expected delivery timeline of 12 weeks after contract award. Contractors will be required to perform a detailed technical teardown and evaluation, including liquid crystal and visual inspections of the Inlet Nozzle's inner surface, and must submit a repair quote and analysis report. While no specific incumbent contractors are mentioned, the solicitation emphasizes competitive bidding and vendor qualifications. The government intends to purchase on a firm fixed price basis, with the initial offer expected to represent the vendor's best quote in terms of price and technical acceptability. Vendors must provide comprehensive documentation, including their estimated delivery date, total amount, and verification of small business status.
