About this opportunity
The 149th Mission Support Contracting Office, operating under the Department of the Army National Guard, has published a Special Notice regarding a sole source contract for F-16 Internal Vent and Pressure Valve diagnostics and overhaul or repair services. This special notice was posted on October 28, 2025, and represents the contracting office's intent to award work to Aero Engineering Support Group (AESG), a vendor that has received approved Source Approval Request status from the F-16 System Program Office. The contract will be executed utilizing FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, which streamlines the procurement process for less complex requirements. This announcement falls under NAICS code 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC code 4810 (Valves, Powered), indicating the technical classification of the work involved.
The primary objective of this special notice is to inform the market of the 149th MSC's intent to pursue a sole source award with AESG while providing an opportunity for other qualified contractors to submit relevant technical documentation and information by the November 11, 2025 deadline. Contractors wishing to be considered must provide sufficient technical documentation demonstrating their capability to meet the requirement, though the notice explicitly states this is not a request for competitive quotes. The initial performance period has an estimated No Later Delivery Date of December 2026. While the notice does not establish specific eligibility criteria beyond technical capability, interested contractors should note that AESG's approved vendor status reflects the existing relationship with the F-16 System Program Office. The 149th MSC retains sole discretion to determine whether to compete this proposed contract action based on responses received and reserves the right to proceed with the sole source award to AESG.
