About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure F110 aircraft engine turbine nozzles (NSN 2840-01-597-5183) through a limited competition acquisition under FAR 6.302 authority. The nozzles are nickel components measuring 31.5" x 31.5" x 4.5" and weighing 35 pounds, designed to increase airflow velocity in F110 engines. The solicitation will be conducted electronically with an estimated release date of July 2, 2025, and responses due by August 1, 2025. Currently, GE Aviation (CAGE code 07482) is identified as the only known source capable of meeting government requirements, though the government may consider competitive procurement based on responses to this notice. Export control regulations apply to this procurement, and interested parties must submit written or faxed requests only, with no telephone inquiries accepted.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and operates under full and open competition authority despite the limited source identification. GE Aviation appears to be the incumbent supplier for these specialized turbine nozzles, having previous manufacturing history for this component. The government seeks to procure an estimated quantity of 23 units with a range of 6-35 units, with delivery scheduled for May 1, 2027. The procurement falls under NAICS code 336412 (Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing) and PSC code 2840 (Gas Turbines and Jet Engines), reflecting the specialized nature of these critical aircraft engine components. The government has not disclosed specific contract values but emphasizes that commercial item procedures under FAR Part 12 will not be utilized for this acquisition.
