Notice text
This is a presolicitation synopsis for a proposed contract action in accordance with FAR 5.201. This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. This synopsis is prepared in accordance with guidance found in FAR 5.207, and is prepared for the purpose of notifying potential offerors of an upcoming solicitation for supplies.
The solicitation will be posted on beta.sam.gov on or about 17 March 2021 with a closing response date of on or about 16 April 2021. It is the contractor’s responsibility to monitor beta.sam.gov on a regular basis for the solicitation along with any amendments.
The contractor shall provide for the design, construction, assembly, functional verification, functional demonstration, and operator training for new maintenance work stands for the F-22 at Hill Air Force Base (Hill AFB), which includes three different configurations of work stand to the F-22 depot:
The contractor shall design F-22 maintenance work stands meeting all requirements of the Statement of Work maximizing the use of commercial items as defined in Federal Acquisitions Regulations Section 2.101. The stands shall provide fall protection meeting all parts of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 around the aircraft, for personnel on top of the aircraft, and for personnel on top of the stands.
• There shall be no point from which personnel on top of the aircraft or on top of the stands could fall to the floor.
• The work stands in all configurations shall provide fall protection in the areas indicated.
• The contractor may leverage the design and construction of the original F-22 work stands as much as possible
• Computer models of the original work stands can be provided to the contractor upon request.
