About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is conducting market research for the procurement of F-16 Power Supplies, electrical converters classified under NAICS 335931. This combined Request for Information and Synopsis is designed to determine whether alternative sources exist beyond the currently identified suppliers and whether commercial or non-developmental items can satisfy the agency's specifications. The Government is seeking to improve small business access to acquisition opportunities and enhance overall competition for this requirement. Key contract requirements include the supply of power supplies with NSN 6130-01-568-6552 and part numbers 6014102-001 and 5608671-01. The primary deadline for interested parties to submit information regarding commercial item capabilities is 15 days from the notice posting date, with the overall response period concluding on December 19, 2025. Interested contractors should contact Kody Quayle at 385-519-8570 or kody.quayle@us.af.mil for additional information.

This procurement carries no small business set-aside designation. Based on preliminary market research, the Government has identified two potential sources: BAE Systems (CAGE 12436) and Ametek Programmable Power, Inc. (CAGE 25965), though the Government has determined that supplies are available from only a limited number of responsible sources under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The estimated procurement quantity is four units with a scheduled delivery date of January 20, 2027, to destination SW3210. The Government does not currently plan to apply commercial item acquisition policies under Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, though interested parties may submit evidence of commercial item alternatives within the 15-day window. This pre-solicitation notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal or commitment to award a contract, and no compensation will be provided for information submitted in response to this inquiry.
