About this opportunity
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is seeking a sole-source contract for Extra Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (XLUUV) Lead Yard Support Services with The Boeing Company. The contract will provide system support for XLUUV assemblies, subassemblies, components, repair parts, and spares following the delivery of one test asset system and five additional XLUUV systems. Support activities will encompass development, engineering, maintenance, and sustainment efforts to facilitate the Navy's transition to organic sustainment capabilities. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on February 5, 2025, with responses due by February 20, 2025. This procurement is classified under NAICS code 336612 for Boat Building and PSC category 1940 for Small Craft.
The contract is not set aside for any specific business category and will be directly awarded to Boeing as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) who previously received the design and development contract under a Joint Emergent Operational Need (JEON). The solicitation is specifically for Boeing's facility located at 5301 Bolsa Ave in Huntington Beach, California. Interested firms seeking subcontracting opportunities are encouraged to contact Boeing directly. While specific contract value details are not provided in the pre-solicitation notice, the scope suggests a comprehensive support contract covering multiple XLUUV systems. The contract appears designed to provide ongoing technical and maintenance support during the Navy's transition to managing these unmanned undersea vehicle systems internally.
