About this opportunity

The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Omaha District is seeking a small business contractor to provide helicopter aerial vegetation control spraying services along the Missouri River in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska. The pre-solicitation notice (W9128F25QA062) indicates the government will issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) on June 16, 2025, with a solicitation closing date of July 14, 2025. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, and services to conduct aerial vegetation spraying using helicopters. Contractors must be registered and maintain an active account in the System for Award Management (SAM) and have the NAICS code 115112 in their profile. The primary evaluation criteria will likely focus on the contractor's ability to meet technical specifications and environmental constraints related to bird habitats and vegetation growth cycles.

The contract is specifically set aside for small businesses with a size standard of $10 million for the NAICS code 115112. The period of performance for spraying operations is scheduled from August 19, 2025, through November 19, 2025, with targeted spraying dates of August 26th to October 4th in North Dakota and September 3rd to October 9th in South Dakota and Nebraska. While no specific award value is mentioned, the contract will cover aerial spraying services across multiple states with precise timing dependent on environmental conditions. Contractors will need to be prepared to adjust their operations based on factors such as threatened bird populations and vegetation growth patterns. The solicitation documents will be posted on SAM.gov, and interested parties must use the website to access and download the full solicitation details.
