About this opportunity
This Special Notice was published by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Portland to provide enhanced law enforcement patrol services for recreational areas associated with dams and waterways within the Willamette Valley and Rogue River Basin projects. The notice intends to award a sole source, time and material service contract to the Oregon State Police for these services from fiscal years 2020 through 2024.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to furnish enhanced law enforcement patrols of recreational areas during peak visitation periods as authorized by 42 U.S.C. 1962d-5d(a). Interested parties must show by clear evidence how competition would benefit the government by the notice deadline of April 20, 2020, otherwise the contract will be awarded non-competitively to Oregon State Police as the only agency with jurisdiction to enforce laws on USACE lands in the regions. The estimated value of the contract over the three-year base period and two option years is $366,741.86. Eligibility is restricted due to Oregon State Police being the sole agency responsible for law enforcement on USACE project sites.
