About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking a contractor for engine installation, repair, and modification services, specifically focused on repairing electronic components and connectors. This solicitation is structured as a firm fixed-price repair contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15, targeting electronic connector manufacturing capabilities. The primary objective is to establish a repair turnaround time (RTAT) of 90 days after asset receipt, with contractors required to accurately report transactions and obtain final government inspection and acceptance. Contractors must provide a monthly throughput constraint and complete repairs within 365 days of the contract award date. The solicitation indicates a comprehensive evaluation process that will assess the contractor's ability to meet specific technical and logistical requirements.
The contract opportunity is not designated with a specific set-aside classification, which suggests open competition among qualified vendors. The procurement is categorized under NAICS code 334417 for Electronic Connector Manufacturing and PSC code 5999 for Miscellaneous Electrical and Electronic Components. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the contract includes provisions for price reconciliation based on meeting repair turnaround time requirements. Early and incremental deliveries are explicitly accepted and preferred. The place of performance will involve the contractor's facility, with physical receipt and processing of assets tracked through the Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV) system. Contractors will be expected to handle assets with precision, reporting all transactions within five business days and maintaining strict adherence to the established repair timelines.
