About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is seeking to procure 19 diesel engines (NSN: 2815-01-517-1809, Part Number: 57K4462) through a firm fixed-price contract with one one-year 100% option. This procurement requires compliance with the United States/Canada Joint Certification Program (JCP) for access to technical data, which demands completion of DD Form 2345 and submission through mail with required documentation. The government intends to procure new material only, though the second notice indicates a willingness to evaluate offers for other than new material. First Article Test requirements apply to this procurement, and technical data is available for qualified bidders. The anticipated solicitation release date is February 26, 2026, with an approximate closing date of March 26, 2026; interested parties should monitor sam.gov for the actual closing date and official solicitation details.
No set-aside designation applies to this opportunity. The contract structure includes a base quantity of 19 units with an option for up to an additional 19 units, allowing for potential procurement of up to 38 diesel engines total. While specific award values are not disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the procurement covers equipment classified under NAICS 333618 (Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC 2815 (Diesel Engines and Components). Prospective contractors must initiate JCP certification immediately through the DLA website to obtain timely access to technical data, as the approval process typically requires one week; those requiring assistance can contact the JCP at 1-877-352-2255 or via email at JCP-ADMIN@DLA.MIL.
