About this opportunity

The Department of the Army's Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) has issued a Special Notice announcing an Enduring-High Energy Laser (E-HEL) Industry Day scheduled for September 30, 2025. The RCCTO's mission focuses on rapidly researching, developing, prototyping, testing, evaluating, procuring, transitioning, and fielding critical enabling technologies and capabilities to address immediate, near-term, and mid-term threats. The event will be held at Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation in Huntsville, Alabama, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM Central Standard Time, with registration beginning at 8:15 AM. This announcement explicitly states that it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and does not commit the government to any future contract awards. The notice serves solely as an informational event notification to engage with industry stakeholders.

The primary purpose of this Industry Day is to provide an overview of the E-HEL production requirement and assess industry capabilities and interest for participating in the anticipated E-HEL production effort planned for Fiscal Year 2026. The event will feature presentations covering the E-HEL overview, organizational conflict of interest briefing, production overview, demonstration overview, contract overview, and conclude with a question and answer session. No proposals will be accepted, and all costs associated with attending the event are at the participant's expense. Participation in this Industry Day is not a prerequisite for involvement in future E-HEL production opportunities or other RCCTO procurement activities. The government is seeking to gather industry feedback and gauge market capabilities rather than solicit formal responses, with the due date for this notice listed as September 26, 2025.
