About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory requires a service contract for refurbishment of an EMI/EMC Chamber at Fort Novosel, Alabama. The contractor will perform an attenuation test, replace foam absorbers and power filters, cover walls and parts with RF absorbers, inspect and possibly replace the door seal, and perform a final attenuation test to ensure compliance with fire retardant standards. The final installation should have a 10-year material warranty and be ROSH and REACH compliant.

List of services to be provided:

  1. Attenuation test of the existing chamber
  2. Removal and replacement of foam absorbers
  3. Removal and replacement of power filters
  4. Covering of walls and top of chamber with properly sized RF absorbers
  5. Covering of back walls and exposed parts with absorber
  6. Inspection and possible replacement or cleaning of door seal
  7. Performance of new attenuation test
  8. Compliance with DIN 4102 Class B and UL94 HBF fire retardant standards
  9. Provision of a 10-year material warranty
  10. Compliance with ROSH and REACH standards.

The U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL) requires a service contract for EMI/EMC Chamber Refurbishment services on the premises at Fort Novosel, Alabama. Contractor shall perform an attenuation test of the existing chamber to establish a current base line, remove and replace foam absorbers, remove and replace power filters, cover walls and top of chamber with properly sized RF absorbers, cover back walls and exposed parts with absorber, inspect door seal and replace or clean as necessary. Upon completion of new installation, contractor shall perform new attenuation test to determine the measurements fall within the effectiveness required and is fire retardant per DIN 4102 Class B and UL94 HBF minimum standards. Final installation shall have a 10 year material warranty and be ROSH and REACH compliant.Please refer to attached solicitation for additional information and Instructions to Offerors.
