Notice text
Under the authority of FAR 6.302-2 (Unusual and compelling urgency) contract award was made to Emergency Standby Power, LLC. UEI: NFC4Y1XTMBL1, 17 Duval Street, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547-2478 so that the following (emergency) services could be completed for the facility immediately: Emergency Repairs for Kohler 650 KW Generator. The reasons/justification for this contractual award are the following: Pharmacy Services and the Laboratory Department must have a continual, uninterrupted supply of electricity in order to support refrigeration units housing vaccines, medications, and reagents. The facility cannot totally rely on the local utility provider for electricity and must have an alternative source of electricity (from a generator) in the event that local and/or primary electricity supplies become unavailable. Any loss or diminishment of electricity could compromise refrigeration units leading to spoilage and/or other non-use of these vaccines/medications/reagents at great financial loss to the government.
Awarded contract 36C25624P0327 to EMERGENCY STANDBY POWER LLC for 16435.88 on 2023-12-07.
