About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Nuclear Weapons Center is seeking a contractor to remanufacture Elevon Actuator Controller (EAC) components for the Air-Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) system. The procurement encompasses disassembly, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, reassembly, testing, and finishing of EAC units to return them to like-new condition while maintaining original form, fit, and function. Additionally, the contractor will produce EAC Production Test Sets and associated Test Program Sets to support production activities. The Air Force intends to award this as a sole source contract to The Boeing Company's Boeing Guidance and Repair Center (BGRC), identified as the only qualified source for this specialized work. It is important to note that funds are not currently available for this effort, and the government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation before or after issuance.
This procurement carries no small business set-aside designation. The Boeing Company (Cage Code: 05HA6) is the identified sole source contractor, with no foreign participation anticipated in the contract. The pre-solicitation synopsis does not provide specific contract value information or detailed quantity requirements for the remanufactured units. The acquisition strategy indicates the contract will be structured as an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) agreement or definitive contract, though the complete contract type details are not fully specified in this notice. The contracting office is located at the Department of the Air Force, AFNWC/PZNT at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma, and the procurement falls under NAICS code 336419 (Other Guided Missile and Space Vehicle Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing).
