About this opportunity
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Contracting Office 4 (NCO4), is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for an all-inclusive Elevator Maintenance and Repair Services contract. The VA is seeking potential vendors, including large and small businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs), to provide elevator maintenance, repair, and inspection services. The key requirements include compliance with ASME, NFPA, and IBC codes and standards, development of a Maintenance Control Program, and response times for routine and emergency service calls. Responses to this RFI are strictly voluntary, and the VA will not pay respondents or provide any notifications regarding the review.
This RFI has no set-aside designations, and the VA is seeking to verify the eligibility of SDVOSB and VOSB firms interested in the procurement. The contract will be awarded based on competition restricted to small business concerns owned and controlled by veterans, in accordance with the Kingdomware decision, if the contracting officer has a reasonable expectation that two or more eligible firms will submit offers and the award can be made at a fair and reasonable price. No further details on potential award values or budget ranges are provided in the pre-solicitation notice.
