About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command has issued a pre-solicitation notice for the repair/modification of electronics units, specifically NSN 7R-1430-994957856-A8 under TDP VER 006. The procurement requires five units delivered FOB origin, with delivery expected by the October 3, 2025 due date. This specialized procurement requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to maintain part quality, as existing qualified sources possess unique design capabilities, engineering skills, and manufacturing/repair knowledge that are not economically available to the Government. The approved sources retain essential data rights and technical knowledge necessary for maintaining part quality standards. Any alternate sources must undergo qualification procedures approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in its intended application.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified contractors. The procurement falls under PSC 1430 for Guided Missile Remote Control Systems, indicating the specialized nature of these electronic components. The contract requires delivery of exactly five units, though no specific contract value or budget range has been disclosed in this pre-solicitation phase. Interested parties can obtain relevant specifications, standards, and documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) at Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia, or via ASSIST-Online at the provided web portal. The highly technical nature of this procurement suggests it will require contractors with established capabilities in missile system electronics and prior experience with similar defense applications.
